I never cease to be amazed by the “panic” over video game systems this time of year.  I’ve heard stories of folks buying and selling game systems and accessories on eBay, waiting in line at stores, and driving to multiple stores trying to find the last system on the market. 

While I still haven’t tried the Nintendo Wii, I love the idea of a lower-priced system that is fun for the whole family.  I have a feeling that it is going to dominate the market in coming years.  The XBOX 360 is definitely an upgrade, but I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t much better.  I also think it’s a shame that it doesn’t come with any games.  The Sony Playstation 3 definitely has the best graphics of the three new systems, but I haven’t had the chance to check out the overall playing experience.

The funniest thing to me is that the age group that these systems are marketed to seems to get older and older.  When I was a kid, people over the age of 30 wouldn’t even think about playing a video game.  Oh, well.
