Swine Flu? Really?

Seriously, folks.  I’m sorry that 159 people died in Mexico of this flu outbreak.  However, this is not a big deal.  36,000 people die every year from the “regular” flu.  More people die in one hour in car accidents than will die all year of Swine Flu.

The images of people wearing masks around is really sad.  It shows how much power the media has, and how they abuse that power.  It reminds me of Johnny Carson asking his audience, “what would happen if there was a toilet paper shortage?”  The next day there really was a shortage because everyone went to the store to stock up.

Don’t buy the hype.  Don’t go to bed worried about whether you’ll wake up.  It’s all over hyped.
